I can't confirm if they are good or not, since I love old stuff. I'm so fascinated for the old movies that I can't judge them. But, as I said, the comics were better. I have no idea whether they were any good, as I haven't seen them since. Two things that intrigue me are the fact that KK's gender is never revealed and the fact that he/she interprets Ignatz' brick throwing as a sign of love. Herriman was a genius. No one is making comics like this today. The only one who comes close is Pat McDonnell and his brilliant "Mutts." When I was a kid, way back in the ’60s, there was a KK cartoon I used to watch on TV.
