At first the name of this post was Please Cynical-C go to hell, but I have already had two boxes of cookies since the last time that Chris, from Cynical-C Blog, eat some delicious chocolate cookies. So now I’m feeling better (and fatter) and decided to change the name of it. Here are some links about the cookies, not that cookies, ’cause I was inspired to research them.
Alien selling cookies: the cartoon name says everything.
American Cookie Jar Association: ugly jar contest, some information, articles and some links (many for online stores). I liked the collection of this shop.
Boston Cookies: We specialize in fine baked goods made without eggs, dairy or preservatives. Hum… thanks, but since I’m not vegan I prefer my cookies with eggs
Cookie is a small, flat baked cake (Commonwealth English biscuit). Its name comes from the Dutch word koekje which means “little cake”, probably via Lallans. The Wikipedia article.
Cookie Blues: funny video with cookies playing blues (or try this link).
Cookie Monster – article about the blue furry Muppet monster that is crazy for cookies and has a voracious appetite.
Cookie Recipes: tons of cookies recipes, tips, hints and ideas.
Flickr: Photos tagged with cookies; Biscuits & Cookies group; and Everybody loves Cookies! another group.
History of Cookies The earliest cookie-style cakes are thought to date back to 7th century Persia A.D. (now Iran), one of the first countries to cultivate sugar (luxurious cakes and pastries in large and small versions were well known in the Persian empire). It’s interesting know those things. The page has more information about the cookies history.
Mesquite Chocolate Chip Cookies: oh my… this recipe seems to be very good and the picture is almost indecent… porn food!
PS.: Cooking for Engineers has always cool recipes explanations, but the site is down (Bandwidth Limit Exceeded). Maybe later or try google cache without the images.
