What Shall I Be? is a game from 1966 with the subtitle The Exciting Game of Career Girls. Oh yes, very exciting, but I’m still searching for a lawyer, a filmmaker, a pilotor or an engineer, because there are only teacher, actress, model, nurse, ballet dancer and airline hostess as careers. It’s curious and totally outdated and I hope that you think the same. (via Cynical-C)

Bibi, they made another game at that time so you can be a surgeon, astronaut, lawyer, etc. Unfortunately, it is just for the boys

Ah, The Good Old Days!
My 88-year-old aunt, who used to be a teacher, told me that around 1940 in many places around the USA, women teachers had to be unmarried. Once they got married, they got fired. So some got married and lived in another town and kept it a big secret, just so they could keep their teaching jobs. Times have changed, eh?
I saw Chris, but still unfair. I didn’t post because I just saw two photos and I can imagine that people read all the text, like the stupid – for today – cards about qualities. But there isn’t a filmmaker!
I’m glad that the times changed Tom! Almost funny if it wasn’t tragic, if you didn’t “have” a man you needed a job. Oh my….
