Word Press plugins

Yes, I’m busy and “some people” that was using my computer didn’t help to post. At least I did some interesting things: I wrote a review about the movie Millions (but in Portuguese), walked on the city and downloaded some plugins to WordPress. It will take a time until I start to use it. I will post later, but till then I want to you if you have some suggestion about any plugins to install. And I have to confess that I like to edit the HTML of my page – I’m fighting with many stuff on WordPress.

These are my favourite WordPress plugins. I use all of these so I know that they work well together without causing any bugs:
    Bad Behavior http://www.ioerror.us/software/bad-behavior/
Stop comment spam before it starts by trapping and blocking spambots before they have a chance to post comments.
    Paged Comment Editing
    http://www.coldforged.org/paged-comment-editing-plugin/
Replaces the stock Comments Management page with a more flexible page that allows paging through comments as well as optionally showing _all_ comments, including spam comments.
    HeadMeta
    http://dougal.gunters.org/blog/2004/06/17/my-first-wordpress-plugin-headmeta
Add keyword tags and they will be translated into regular head meta keyword tags when the post is viewed. You can give search engines jeywords that aren’t in the actual post text.
    Link Truncator
    http://minglewithingle.com/index.php?s=link+truncator
Truncates long links in comments to prevent them
from breaking out of the comment frame and overflow sidebars.
    Live Comment Preview
    http://dev.wp-plugins.org/wiki/LiveCommentPreview
People can preview their comment as they type it.
Never Moderate Admin or Post Author
    http://www.coffee2code.com/wp-plugins/
Never moderate or mark as spam comments made by the site admin, the post?s author, or optionally, any registered user above a specified user level, regardless of the apparent spamminess of the comment.
    Search Reloaded
    http://www.semiologic.com/projects/search-reloaded/
Enhances the search function. For example… normally if you search for “img” you will get all posts that has an image tag in them. With this you only get posts that has the word “img” in the text (such as this comment)
    WordPress Database Backup
    http://www.skippy.net/plugins/
Backup your MySql database directly from the admin panel. The backup is zipped and mailed to you. There is also an additional thingy you can add to automate this completely.
These are the most important functional ones. I have a few others I use as well, mostly for silliness such as a random title.
