Ascenseur pour l’échafaud directed by Louis Malle is one of one the greatest films of Nouvelle Vague; I don’t like all of them, but this one is a masterpiece. If you like the French or European films you have to see it. Jeanne Moreau is perfect on her character, the camera walks throw a melancholic night, the scenes are precise and the music gives a little more of rhythm to the film. Ah, the music, well, Flickhead made a huge contribution to me and posted 10 tracks from the original soundtrack of the film on Malle content post. The soundtrack composed by Miles Davis is so poetic, so beautiful, you have to listen. Thank you for posting!
