Kelly Haigh: Living Dolls Gallery. Pictures of dolls posing like people and some of them have a strange look. (via Rashomon)

I don’t like dolls: they are usually creepy, specially vintage porcelain dolls – the worst. I found the proof that dolls are really creepy on the video Play with me, that was remove after be “Boingboinged”. The image above I saved from the Play with me when I as exploring it 2 days ago.
Play With Me is an interactive installation that uses stop-motion animation and sound to create an uncertain reality. Events quickly escalate away from the viewer’s control and a terrible scene unfolds.
Van Sowerwine, the artist that made the instalation, has more videos, instalations and games – almost all with dolls – to you see and play there. I suggest to you start with Expecting, an interactive strange video, and go to the animation page. There are interesting concepts behind her works. (via Boing Boing)
Update: the evil doll is back. Monkeyman says I sent Van Sowerwine the link to www.coralcdn.org and the artist emailed me today to let me know the Play with Me website is now back up.
. Great! To see the video Play with me click here.
Proof yet again, as to why I hate dolls.
Yet another reason for me not to like dolls.
I sent Van Sowerwine a link to http://www.coralcdn.org/ to help offset the pounding that website got, and the Play with Me website is now back up.
Thanks Monkeyman!
Who’s Blythe doll is that and where can i find one? That’s a great shot!
