Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn – Gone With the Wind, 1939.
That is the number one on AFI 100 Movie Quotes. The list has many great quotes and it’s very difficult say what is the best, but I have some favourites, just because I like to cite them:
I have always depended on the kindness of strangers – A Streetcar Named Desire, 1951.
It’s alive! It’s alive! – Frankenstein, 1931.
The stuff that dreams are made of – The Maltese Falcon, 1941.
I want to be alone – Grand Hotel, 1932.
I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore! – Network, 1976.
This one is fantastic: I am big! It’s the pictures that got small – Sunset Blvd., 1950. But where is that one that I love The horror. The horror. from Apocalypse Now? Anyway, BBC has an article about the top ten quotes of the list. (Thanks B.!)
